HOT SPRINGS OF LARES

The thermal baths of Lares, are located 300 meters from the town of Lares, at an altitude of 3,250 meters above sea level and the temperature of its waters oscillates between 36º and 44ºC. It has three pools, the first one reaches a temperature of 41º C and is supplied by the main water eye, it has a dimension of 5 meters long, 3.50 meters wide and 1.50 meters deep. The second reaches 35º C, it is 6 meters long, 4 meters wide and 1.5 meters deep. The third 38º C, presents 15 meters long, 8 meters wide and 1.5 meters deep. The waters have healing properties for stomach and rheumatic diseases, conditions such as arthritis, ideal for treatments in fractures, osteoarticular pain, muscle pain, etc. Chemical composition of the water: Of yellowish coloration, sodium, calcium, clouros, magnesium, potassium, sulfates, bicarbonates, manganese, iron, zinc, boron, copper and dissolved solids. At the entrance of the thermal waters of Lares you can see the presence of stalactites and stalagmites.
